IMPORTANT MESSAGE!!! - Since there will not be services at PUMC on 2/7 due to the weather we have a challenge for you and your family. Why not create a worship opportunity tomorrow morning in your home. Below are some ideas for your worship time:
Open with a short prayer of thanks and/or have each person name out their blessings.
Share your favorite songs of worship, you can either sing them (even have the kids sing their favorite church songs) or if you are not comfortable singing just share why a song speaks to you and how it brings you closer to Christ.
For the offering time talk about how God used you this week as His hands and feet or how each might plan to reach out in the coming week.
You might have each person pick his or her favorite scripture and read it aloud.
For the sermon time this might be a great opportunity to share your testimony, either write it down or share how God is BIG in your life.
Close your worship time with prayer and maybe a song.
Cancelling our services is not an opportunity to "take a break" from worship. It is even more an opportunity for you and your family to experience Christ in a unique and special way. Try some or all of these ideas tomorrow, allow God to be BIG for, in and thorough you!
